Starting in 2013-2014, a new YHH adaptation will occur with middle school students at New Design Middle School led by 8th grade teacher Andrew Wintner. The Middle School Harlem Historians (MSHH) initiative is a 6-week after-school program where students will learn the history of their Harlem community by "doing" history and visting various places of historical significance.
